Anthony Johnson

May 25, 1968 — March 1, 2025

On March 1st, 2025 Anthony "Bubba" Johnson, of Lake Charles, left this world to dance in the streets of heaven with Our lord. He was surrounded until the very end by those he loved the most.

Bubba was a dedicated husband, a loving father, and the best pawpaw. Those left to cherish his memory are the love of his life and best friend of 38 years, Angela Johnson, his children Christian Leger (Joshua) and Aaron Johnson (Ashlyn), his grandchildren, Addison, Aubree, Isabella, Kaiden, and Levi. He is also survived by two brothers, George "Mike" Johnson and Isaac Johnson, and his nephew, Brandon Johnson. He's preceeded in death by his parents, Roscoe Johnson and Blanche Baker.

Despite being dealt some hard cards early in life, Bubba stayed positive and was always smiling. His friends often described him as helpful and dependable. If Bubba could help, he would, without hesitation. He was a hard worker, working most of his life in refineries as a pipefitter until he no longer could. He loved music and dancing and could always be found outside tinkering with something. However, the thing he loved the most was his family. He adored his beautiful wife, best friend and soulmate, Angela. They completed each other in the best of ways. If you asked him his biggest accomplishment in this life was his children. Proud doesn't even begin to describe his feelings about his children Christian and Aaron. He was most proud of the amazing mother and father that they had become to his grandchildren. He loved those grandchildren with everything he had. In his eyes, they could do no wrong. He was a phenomenal pawpaw, second to none, and his love and humor will be missed tremendously.

A celebration of life will take place on March 22nd at 2pm at 2899 Sugarloaf Dr, Lake Charles, LA 70607.
