Anthony (Wood-Duck) Joseph Hanks

Anthony Joseph Hanks (WOOD-DUCK) was born on June 26, 1958, in Lake Charles LA. to Wilford Joseph Hanks and Stella Harrington. He was a Professional Truck Driver by trade. 

Anthony was a kind, gentle hearted man, kind to everyone and loved all his family and friends and the outdoors. He grew up in Moss Bluff with his two brothers and two sisters and graduated from Sam Houston High. Anthony’s sweet gentle soul left for home on October 14^th, 2022, but he left behind good memories and everyone who loved and adored him.  He will be missed by many.                                                      

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 45 years, Tammy Hanks, his oldest son, Jimmy Hanks, (daughter in law Francis Hanks) middle son Adam Hanks, (daughter in law Rebecca Hanks), youngest son Ted Hanks, seven grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren., numerous nieces and nephews, and one brother, Wade Hanks.                   

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Arthurine Witherwax, Stella Heard, and one brother, Leonard (Doc) Hanks.                                                                                                                    

Memorial services will be held at 1251 Dunn ferry Rd. Sulphur La. On Thursday October 20th at 1 pm. Flower donations can be sent to 1251 Dunn ferry Rd. Sulphur La.
