Eric Jones

Paul Eric Jones, loving known as Eric was one of five children born to Rodney J. and Ilene Jones. He was born April 7, 1965, in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

A lifelong resident of Southwest Louisiana, Sportsman’s Paradise gave him all he could need. He was a graduate of LaGrange High School. In his younger years, he enjoyed bowling. He loved spending time with his family, he was either smiling, laughing, or being the life of the party. He especially loved cooking for his family during crawfish season, duck hunting, golfing with his son at Westlake Golf Club, or spent evenings working on his pride and joy; his Ford Mustang.  During football season you’d find him rooting for the New Orleans Saints, especially if they were playing the Denver Bronco’s.

He was a lifelong member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.

He was welcomed into Heaven February 20, 2024 by; parents, Rodney J. and Ilene Jones and a brother, William “Bill” Jones.

Those left to cherish his memory; a daughter, Brittney Edens and wife Katie Edens; son, Logan Jones; step-son whom he loved as his own, Mike Mott; Fiancé’ Debbie Mott; two brothers, Randy Jones and wife Beverly & Brian Jones and wife Mona; one sister, Janet Hoff and husband Richard; nieces and nephews, Matthew Jones, Keitha Dupuis and husband Donavan, Jackie Talbert, Brieanna Buford and husband Josh; great nieces and nephews, Zoey, Payton, Maria and Madison; numerous extended family and friends.

Memorial services, led by Father Joshua Page will begin at 3pm at Simple Traditions, with burial to follow at Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be observed from 1pm until time of service.
