Helena Odette Pharr Kittrell

Helena Odette Kittrell, a beloved daughter, mother, sister, and friend, who passed away on September 27, 2024, at the age of 59. Helena, born on August 26, 1965, in Lake Charles, LA, was a beacon of light to all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

From her early days at Barbe High School to pursuing her passion for beauty by becoming a talented cosmetologist, Helena's journey was one of selflessness and creativity. She furthered her education, earning an Associate's Degree in Graphic Design from Sowela, showcasing her artistic talents in various mediums. Helena's vibrant spirit shone through in everything she did - whether belting out tunes in a band, showcasing her skills in painting and crafting, or spreading joy with her contagious laughter.

Ever the social butterfly, Helena never met a stranger, making connections with everyone she encountered. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, she strived to live each day in a Christlike manner. Her endearing personality, coupled with her kindness and unwavering faith, made her a pillar of strength for those navigating the path to recovery, where she provided guidance and support. A celebration she held for herself for over twenty four years.

She was preceeded in passing by her father, Milton Henry Pharr and wife Earline; one nephew, Cassidy Pharr.

She is survived by her children, Christian Pharr, Jenna Spivey & fiancée Joseph Slattery, and Ethan Spivey and wife Lakyn;her mother, Deanna Fragale; siblings, Ann Marie Sackse, Suzanne Armstrong, and Elizabeth "Beth" Woodfin and husband Jim; father to her children, Dan Spivey; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

In celebrating Helena's life, a Memorial Service will be held at Simple Traditions by Johnson on Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Family to welcome friends Tuesday, October 1st beginning 12pm til time of service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to family to help offset funeral costs.
