Joann Thibodeaux

Joann Thibodeaux, 63, of Vinton, LA died on Sunday July 11, 2021 at her residence with her family at her side.

Joann was a native and lifelong resident of the Vinton area. She was a graduate of Vinton high school and worked for many years at the Sulphur Wal-Mart from the automotive department to door greeter. She always welcomed everyone with a smile.

Joann was preceded in death by her parents. Altwain Thibodeaux and Josephene Cormier (Thibodeaux) Hebert; beloved husband of thirty-five years, Gary Thibodeaux. She is survived by her daughter, Amie Laughlin (Randy) Hebert of Vinton; two sons, Danny Laughlin (Shelia) of Sulphur and Jeremy Laughlin of Sulphur; nine grandchildren, Claire Hebert, Logan Hebert and Randy Hebert, Jr., Isiah Laughlin, Logan Laughlin, Zach Vincent, Christy Laughlin, Alexis Chisholm (Marcus) Humphries, Hailey Chisholm (Brenden) Johnson, Justin Chisholm and Christopher Laughlin; great granddaughter, Paisley Laughlin; stepson, Patrick Garrett (Yolande) Thibodeaux of Sulphur, LA; step grandson, Story Thibodeaux of Lake Charles; step granddaughter, Kara Thibodeaux (Caleb)Thompson of Quantico, VA; two step grandchildren, Zoie Rose Thibodeaux and Connor James Thibodeaux.

A gathering of family and friends will be from noon until 5:00 PM with a celebration of her life to follow on Thursday July 15, 2021 at Life Christian Church in Vinton with Pastor Don Snyder officiating. As to Joann’s wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Simple Traditions by Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
