John Lavoy Littleton, Jr.

John Lavoy Littleton, Jr, age 73, of Lake Charles passed away Friday, April 21, 2023. John was born to John and Peggy Littleton in Corpus Christi, Tx. He grew up in Vinton, LA, but spent the majority of his life in the Lake Charles, LA area.

John loved the simple things in life. He especially enjoyed being outdoors and riding his bike everywhere he went. His hobbies were riding his unicycle, going for long walks, hiking in the woods, and making paper airplanes of all sorts with his children, nieces, and nephews. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 20 yrs, Gwendolyn Bridges Littleton. two daughters Kelly Littleton of Round Rock, TX, and Jennie Littleton Sanchez (husband Juan Sanchez) of Laredo, TX. Three grandchildren: Diego Sanchez, Jazzmin Sanchez, and Sierra Sanchez. Two brothers: Walter Littleton Sr (wife Victoria) of Westlake, LA, Thomas Littleton (wife Sherry) of Dothan, AL, and sister: Lucretia Martinez of Corpus Christi, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by both his parents, John and Peggy Littleton, brother-in-law Fred Martinez, and niece Lucretia Martinez.

Memorial services will be held at 4:00 pm, Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Alma Dr. in Lake Charles, LA. Jerome Broussard will officiate the services.

The family wishes to express their thanks to the medical staff at Lake Charles Care Center for their years of care and compassion.
