Kevin Jared Hand

Kevin Jared Hand, 39 of Hecker, LA, passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2022.

He was a certified boilermaker and worked turnarounds for local industries.  He loved the Casinos and had a large group of “casino friends” he enjoyed spending time with.  He was one of a kind and lived life to the fullest.  He will be missed for his wit and sense of humor.  He has one son, Benjamin Jared Hand, whom he loved dearly.  He was a wonderful Daddy to “Ben”, the light of his life.

He is survived by his son, Benjamin Hand; his mother, Kathryn Waggoner of Hecker, LA; his father, Barry Wayne Hand of Austin, TX; sister, Misty Gayle Ore (Bobby) of Lake Charles; brother, Christopher Heath Evans of Lake Charles; brother, Craig Jason Evans (Stacy) of Cabot, AR; sisters, Brittanee Morris (Blake) and Bethanee Dunaway (Dustin) of Houston, TX; brother, Aaron Hand of Austin, TX; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022, at 11:00 AM with Rev. Steve Shirley officiating.  Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM at Simple Traditions by Johnson Funeral Home, located at 3448 5^th Avenue, Lake Charles, LA.
