Ralph Jacob Babineaux, Sr.

Ralph Jacob Babineaux Sr., 76, of Lake Charles, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2024, at his residence in Gueydan, Louisiana. Ralph was born on April 22, 1948, in Lafayette, Louisiana, to Sostan Babineaux Sr. and Ruth Ada Carpenter.

Ralph lived a life full of passion for fishing and was an avid painter. His best companions were his two beloved dogs, Lady and Sissy.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 41 years, Betty Faye Carter Babineaux; one son, David Babineaux (wife Rhonda) of Judice, Louisiana; two daughters, Sarah Babineaux of Stuart, Florida, and Cynthia Babineaux of Lake Charles; and one stepson, Alton Ray Boutwell of Alabama.

He is also survived by several grandchildren: Megan, Alec, Rainey, Raegan, Samantha, and Jacob Babineaux; Josie Alsip; Raquel Patin; Renee Hebert; Rachelle Davis; Randy and Hailey LeBlanc; Shailey Matt; Leila, Kenny, Shania, Justin, and Jordan Boutwell; Destiny Cormier; and Dominique and Shawn Helsel. Ralph also leaves behind many great-grandchildren and his sisters: Marguerite Rushing, Ann Babineaux, Yvonne Suire, Donna Blackwell, and Michelle Benoit.

Ralph is welcomed into heaven by his son, Ralph Jacob Babineaux Jr.; his parents, Sostan Joseph Babineaux Sr. and Ruth Ada Carpenter; his sister, Charlene Terri Babineaux; his brothers, James "Jimbo" Babineaux, Sostan Joseph Babineaux Jr., and Carl Wayne Babineaux; his stepson, Troy Boutwell; and his grandson, Drake Boutwell.

The family will hold a "Celebration of Life" at a later date.
