Raymond John Badolato, 75, was called by our Lord to eternal rest on the evening of August 12, 2022, with his loving wife and daughter by his side.
Raymond was born May 29, 1947 in Lake Charles, LA to the late Matthew and Madeline Badolato. He was raised in his hometown and graduated from McNeese State College in 1969 with a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry. He immediately joined the U.S. Air Force where he trained and served as a Morse systems operator from 1971-1973 stationed in Taiwan and in Italy. He met his beautiful wife, Hsiang-Lan (Haruko) Hsu in Taiwan and they married in 1974, settling down in Lake Charles, LA. During his time on this earth, he enjoyed reading, bowling, and simply spending time with his loved ones.
Mr. Badolato was a humble, patient, and caring family man who worked hard nearly his whole life and touched many hearts with his quirky and persevering nature. His warm hazel eyes, kind smile, and jovial personality will be greatly missed.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
2 Timothy 4:7
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; and his younger brother, Robert Badolato.
Left to carry his legacy is his devoted wife of 48 years, Hsiang-Lan (Haruko) Badolato; and his daughter Sisley Badolato.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, August 26, 2022, at Simple Traditions by Johnson Funeral Home. Chaplain Christopher Trombatore will officiate services. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
