Robert Lewis Grady Jr.

Robert Lewis Grady, Jr. of Lake Charles, LA passed away Sunday, October 1, 2023.

He was the eldest son born on December 28, 1946 to the late Robert Lewis Sr. and Catherine Rita Grady.

He was a graduate of LaGrange High School, class of 1965, then enrolled at McNeese State University obtaining a bachelor’s degree in business marketing. On August 28, 1967 he enlisted into the United States Army, serving honorably until his discharge in May of 1969.

On October 19, 1971 he welcomed a daughter, Kathy Ann with his first wife Ann. He was employed with Citgo until he and Ann started their business, G&G Fasteners

He considered himself a sportsman living in paradise, often traveling to Toledo Bend to fish with his brother. Whether duck or deer, you would find him in a blind during their season. Between seasons he would compete in competition skeet shoot outs, often placing in the top three. Another passion was going to casino to enjoy a good game of Texas Hold’em or traveling in his motor home with Theresa.

He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Kathy Ann Peltier and his parents Robert Lewis Sr. and Catherine Rita Grady.

He is survived by his wife, Theresa Marie Grady: two grandsons, Braiden and Bryce Peltier and their father, Gary James Peltier; one brother, Ronald Grady and wife Melisa; numerous extended family and friends.

Celebration of life services will be held at Simple Traditions by Johnson Funeral Home located at 3448 5th Ave. Lake Charles LA 70605 Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 11am. Family to welcome friends beginning at 10am until time of service.
