Tammie Denise Young McComb, 58, of Moss Bluff passed away on September 3, 2024 in a local hospital.
Tammie was born on February 9, 1966 in Lake Charles and lived most of her life in Moss Bluff where she was a graduate of Sam Houston High School. She worked for the Calcasieu Parish School Board for more than 20 years as a cook at Moss Bluff Middle School.
Tammie had a passion for arts and crafts, often delighting in creating beautiful pieces that reflected her creative spirit. She also enjoyed cooking and experimenting with new recipes, always eager to share her culinary creations with loved ones. In her leisure time, she could be found playing games on her phone or watching funny videos, always with a smile on her face. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
A playful soul, Tammie loved to “pull a prank” and keep everyone around her entertained with her sense of humor. Her warmth and loving nature were evident in every interaction, and she never missed an opportunity to show her family how much she loved them.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 34 years, Rodney J. McComb; children, Derrick Scott Brown (Radona Brown), Tiffoni Marie McComb (Justin Tucker), Alyssa Dixie McKee (Blaine Courville), Mia Faith Frasier, and Britney Sybl McComb; grandchildren, Brentley Tucker, Xavier Tucker, Oliver Capritto, and Charlee Brown; siblings, Tina Young Fontenot (Brian) and Jeffery Scot Young; and sisters-in-law, Cynthia Mathieu (Max), Jeanette Gaspard, June Bailey, Helan Parker, Karen Duhon, and Jane LaCasse.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Dolores Young and grandparents, Sam and Edwina Roberts.
