Thomas "Tom Dooley" L Verkler

Thomas “Tom Dooley” L. Verkler, 61 of Lake Charles passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family and friends on September 24, 2022. He enjoyed his last days being with his family and friends.

Thomas was born on February 20, 1961 in Marion,Indiana to Sabra Ann Woodson and Thomas Wesley Verkler.

Thomas worked in the construction business and loved what he did.  He did everything from hanging sheet rock to painting and building. He also loved to hunt and was an avid fisherman. His greatest joy was spending time with his family.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his significant other, Belinda Esthay; his daughter, Hope Verkler; his granddaughter, Marilyn Cain; his brother, Glen Weston Verkler; his sister-in-law Karen Verkler; his nephews, Thomas, Glen, Dustin, and Tyler Verkler; his great nephews, Michael, Aiden, and Axel Verkler; his great niece Edyn Verkler; and a host of other close family and friends.
